Educating the Whole Child:
Mind, Body and Spirit.
St. James the Apostle Catholic School is pleased to announce that we provide tele-counseling support services for our students.
Q: What is tele-counseling?
A: Tele-Counseling refers to providing counseling services remotely using telecommunications technologies, such as video conferencing or telephone. One of the benefits of tele-counseling is that your child and the school counselor can engage in counseling services despite the cancellation of on-campus instruction. This will be helpful in ensuring continuity of care in the midst of the current COVID-19 pandemic while students are engaging in distance learning.
Q: What are tele-counseling requirements?
A: There are two requirements.
1. A parent must submit a permission slip for his/her child to participate.
2. Two mental health professionals must participate in the tele-counseling conference with the student.
Our school counselor, Mrs. Monica Trevino, and our intern counselor, Ms. Lara Cosme, will be working with our students.
Q: When are tele-counseling conferences held?
A: Conferences are scheduled by appointments during the following times:
Mondays - 9 am – 12 pm
Thursdays - 4 pm – 8 pm
Fridays - 2 pm – 8 pm
Q: How can I register my child to participate in tele-counseling?
A: Please complete the digital form below and presss submit.
This confidential information will be sent to Mrs. Trevino, and she will contact you through the information you provided.
